Chocolate Sculpture Techniques with Chef Scott MeyerThursday 03/18/10 2:30 PM *** This special event is available exclusively to ACI students and graduates*** Join Chef Meyer for this exciting extra curricular event. He will be teaching students how to create a chocolate sculpture to symbolize spring. Individuals at all skill levels are welcome to join. Class is limited to 20 people and a $20 supply fee is due at sign-up.
Evening Service at du Jour RestaurantThursday 03/25/10 6:00 PM ACI's du Jour Restaurant will be open for dinner service this evening. Our advanced students are looking forward to serving their Valley customers a refined dinner menu with seating times starting at 6:00pm. Our four course seasonal menu is developed by Chef Instructors and students. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (480) 603-1066. (Please note: We will not be serving lunch on this day.)
New Basic Culinary Arts Class BeginsMonday 03/29/10 Your culinary career starts today! ACI Chef Instructors begin a new Culinary Arts class today. Basic Culinary Arts students are given a thorough introduction into the basic skills, techniques, concepts, and theories involved in professional cooking. Emphasis is given to classical French cooking theory, including The Principles of Escoffier, The Mother Sauces, and a variety of traditional modern preparation techniques. Apply today to ensure your spot in the March class.
Garde Manger Class with Chef Glenn Humphrey, CEC, CCEWednesday 04/07/10 2:30 PM ***This exciting event is available exclusively to ACI students*** Join ACI's Placement Director, Chef Humphrey, CEC, CCE and learn how to carve fruit and vegetables. Interested students are encouraged to sign-up in the Administrative office as soon as possible; availability is limited to 20 students. A $20 fee for supplies is due upon registration. Enhance your curriculum and take advantage of this great extra-curricular activity!
